On December 29, China's first world's largest 24,000TEU container ship was successfully undocked, marking another major breakthrough in the field of ultra-large container ship construction.
This type of ship is independently designed by Hudong-Zhonghua. A total of 6 ships have been built for Evergreen. It is currently the world's largest container ship type.
The ship is 399.99 meters long, 61.5 meters wide, and 33.2 meters deep. It is equipped with a hybrid scrubber.
In 2021,
Hudong-Zhonghua has taken orders for 13 large container ships and deliver 6 ships. At present, the company is building 19 large container ships, and the delivery period has been scheduled to 2025.
