On December 13, Lingang Special Area Management Committee and Bank of Communications Financial Leasing signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, Bocomm Leasing will provide COSCO Shipping and Lingang Transportation with financial leasing business support of no less than 5 billion yuan.
COSCO Shipping's container development project is to import containers from abroad and lease them to overseas charterers, realizing cross-border settlement of funds and global allocation of resources.
The project will help Shanghai shipping companies increase their capacity, ease the global container tensions under the impact of the epidemic, and support Chinese shipping companies to expand into the international market.
Currently, the scale of Bocomm Leasing's shipping financing ranks first in the world, and the scale of aviation assets ranks tenth in the world.
