
On November 1, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding released the third quarter financial report and related announcements. The announcement shows that in the third quarter of this year, Yangzijiang's operating income reached RMB 4.47 billion and gross profit reached RMB 1 billion.
According to the financial report data, in the third quarter of 2021, the core shipbuilding business revenue of Yangzijiang increased by 45% year-on-year to RMB 3.689 billion, mainly because the shipbuilding business in this quarter was more active than that in the same period last year, with 15 ships delivered, compared with 9 ships delivered in the third quarter of last year.
In addition, in the third quarter of this year, the gross profit margin of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's shipbuilding business was 13%, lower than the same period last year, mainly due to the impact of rising raw material costs.
In terms of other business income, due to the expansion of the fleet and the increase in chartering rates, the income of Yangzijiang's shipping logistics, chartering and ship design services increased by 32% year-on-year to 255 million yuan.
Overall, the total revenue of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding in the third quarter of 2021 increased from 3.58 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2020 to 4.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25%.
As of the date of the announcement, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has received 124 new ship orders this year, valued at 7.41 billion U.S. dollars, continuing to set a new record in the history of Yangzijiang's new ship orders.
