On October 31, China Shipbuilding Trading, a subsidiary of CSSC, and Hudong Zhonghua successfully delivered a 18,600 m3 LNG bunkering vessel "Gas Vitality" to MOL. This is also the second 18,600 m3 LNG bunkering ship built by Hudong Zhonghua for MOL and Total.
The ship is owned by MOL and will be chartered to TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies in France.
"GAS VITALITY" has a total length of 135.9 meters, a width of 24.5 meters, and a depth of 16 meters. It adopts Mark III FLEX membrane enclosure system of GTT and is classified into BV.
This ship is the second ship of the same type built by Hudong Zhonghua after the 18,600 m3 LNG bunkering ship "Gas Agility" delivered last year.
The ship is the world’s largest bunkering vessel. Compared with the previous generation of LNG bunkering ship "Gas Agility", the optimized design of the ship is mainly reflected in three aspects: higher bunkering rate, more ships to be bunkered, better compatibility.
At present, the world is transitioning to green energy, and marine LNG will be a quick solution to start the journey of ship decarbonization.
