On September 18, General Administration of Customs released the latest monthly statistics on China's imports and exports in August. Statistics show that in August this year,
China exported 371 ships, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%, with a value of 8.45369 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.5%.
In the first eight months of this year,
China's cumulative export of ships was 3,329, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, and the amount was 92.49523 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%.
In terms of specific types of exported ships, in August this year,
11 tankers were exported with a value of 2.22519 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 83.3% and 3.1% respectively. From January to August,
China's tanker exports reached 89, a year-on-year increase of 56.1%, and the
amount reached 20.53073 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%.
In August, China's
export of container ships reached 9 vessels, worth 1.72039 billion yuan, an increase of 125% and 59.1% year-on-year respectively. From January to August,
China's container ship exports reached 67 vessels, worth 15.99654 billion yuan, an increase of 168% and 187.8% year-on-year respectively.
In August,
China's bulk carrier exports reached 14 ships, 2.06145 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.5% and 37.8% respectively. From January to August,
China's bulk carrier exports reached 158 ships, worth 31.79398 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.2% and 15.4% respectively.
