ZhongGu's net profit in H1 soared by 342.90% year-on-year

ZhongGu Logistics disclosed its semi-annual report in the afternoon of August 9. In the first half of 2021, the company realized an operating revenue of 5.604 billion yuan, an increase of 26.23% over the same period of the previous year, including 4.505 billion yuan in water transportation business, an increase of 34.26% over the same period of the previous year, and 1.099 billion yuan in land transportation business, an increase of 1.38% over the same period of the previous year; The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was 1.101 billion yuan, an increase of 342.90% over the same period of the previous year.
 
During the reporting period, ZhongGu Logistics completed a throughput of 12.29 million TEU, a year-on-year increase of 9.75%, completed a transportation volume of 6.2 million TEU, a year-on-year increase of 9.43%, and transported 66.86 million tons of cargoes, a year-on-year increase of 7.51%.
 
In terms of capacity allocation, in the first half of 2021, ZhongGu sold four second-hand container ships "Zhonggu Guangdong", "Zhonggu Guangxi", "Zhonggu Zhejiang", and "Zhonggu Hebei" that they successively purchased from March 2017 to March 2020. The total is 244,400 DWT.
 
In March 2021, the company complied with the Belt and Road Initiative and related national policies in the logistics industry, opened the “Shanghai-Ningbo-Ho Chi Minh-Shanghai” route, invested two 1,900TEU container ships, and used this as a pilot to explore the organic combination of foreign trade business and domestic trade business, and seek new growth points of performance.
