On the morning of July 12, China Merchants Industry successfully held the arrival ceremony of MOL's first LNG carrier "Grand Mereya".
This cooperation is the first for the two parties to open a new chapter in the LNG ship repair business, opening a new chapter in the cooperation between the two parties.
"Grand Mereya" is a 145,963 m3 LNG ship, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Japan. It was delivered and operated in 2008. The ship is 289 meters long, 74497 DWT, and ice resistance of 1C class , and currently provides services for the Sakhalin-2 project.
The ship is shared by MOL,"K"Line, and PRISCO, and is long-term chartered to Sakhalin Energy. The company's investors include Gazprom, Shell, Mitsui & Co., and Mitsubishi Group.
