"The fundamental purpose of China's 'Intelligent Ships' is not to pursue 'unmanned', but to improve the safety, reliability, economy and environmental protection of ship navigation operations."
On July 10, Wu Yousheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, put forward the above views in his speech on "the development direction of China's smart ships" at "AI Empowering Ocean" Smart Ship Innovation Forum jointly sponsored by SDARI and Shanghai Zhangjiang Group.
Wu Yousheng is a well-known expert in ship mechanics and ship engineering in China. He is a researcher and honorary director of China Ship Scientific Research Center.
Wu Yousheng believes that the development of China's smart ship technology must focus on solving three problems in three directions.
First of all, in order to improve safety, reliability and environmental protection, it is necessary to comprehensively improve the intelligence level of the ship's eight major functional systems.
Second, solidly develop the basic technology of smart ships, and effectively make up for the shortcomings in the basic component technology of physics, chemistry, and biomass sensing, the core component technology of marine navigation equipment, and the basic components of wired and wireless fine control.
Finally, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of basic conditions, establish the interaction and unification of intelligent equipment information such as the interface, network and communication laws and regulations; Improve the network security protection regulations of shore-to-sea links, ship data, and control systems; Build "intelligent technology test ships" , Enhance practical evaluation and verification conditions.
In addition, Wu Yousheng said that the direction of China's marine equipment technology development and industrial structure adjustment will be divided into two parts.
One is to change "emphasis on body building" to "emphasis on building internal organs and nervous system", and use "intelligent technology" to promote the upgrading of "power, supporting and information equipment technology" to improve the safety, reliability, economic and environmental protection of navigation operations.
The other is to combine digital, network, and intelligent technologies to accelerate the development of China's shipbuilding technology, so that production efficiency can catch up with the world's advanced level, and help global "carbon neutrality" reach the standard.
