On June 23, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding issued a new ship order announcement. Since April 19 this year, Yangzijiang has received orders for 14 new ships worth US$715 million.
Up to now, Yangzijiang has received a total of 89 orders worth US$4.72 billion in 2021, a record high since 2008, and under the current ship market, the company is confident that it will continue to receive more orders.
According to the announcement, since the release of the new ship order on April 19, 2021, the company has won 14 new ship construction contracts with a total contract value of US$715 million.
These new orders include a 9,150DWT chemical tanker, a 29,800DWT great lake self-unloading bulk carrier, two 2,400TEU container ships, five 3500TEU container ships, two 11,800TEU container ships, and three 40,000 CBM dual-fuel LPG/Ammonia carrier. These ships are scheduled to be delivered from 2022 to 2024.
