China's shipping exports rose 20.9% to 2,189 ships in the first five months of this year compared with the same period in 2020, according to customs statistics released on the website of the General Administration of Customs on June 7. Exports totaled 54.55 billion yuan, up 28.6% over the same period in 2020.
From January to May this year, China exported 2,189 ships with a total export value of 54.55 billion yuan.
In the first five months of 2020, China exported 1,810 ships with an export value of 42.44 billion yuan.
In addition, in May this year, China's shipping industry exported 690 ships with a total export value of 12.42 billion yuan.
