On February 25, Guangzhou Shipyard International welcomed the first major order since the Chinese New Year, and signed a contract with China Merchants Nanjing Tanker Corporation for two 49,700 dwt product tankers and two 49,500 dwt chemical/product tankers.
The four tankers signed this time adopt the 13th generation MR ship type. Compared with the previous MR ship type, it has been optimized and upgraded in terms of compliance, environmental protection and intelligence.
This type of ship meets the requirements of China Classification Society (CCS) green environmental protection classification symbols "G-EP" and "G-ECO", and meets the requirements of greenhouse gas, sulfur oxide, and nitrogen oxide emission restrictions.
The main engine and auxiliary engines of this ship are equipped with nitrogen oxide emission control device SCR, which meets the Tier III emission requirements of IMO.
