MARIC's 220,000 m3 LNG ship awarded AIP

Led by COSCO SHIPPING, MARIC under CSSC, together with shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, scientific research institutions, and core system manufacturers, jointly participated in the research and development of the "220,000 square MARKIII LNG ship" and the "LNG-powered ultra-large container ship" project was successfully concluded and obtained AIP certification from many classification societies.

On December 17, the "220,000 m3 MARKIII LNG ship" project ended. The project brings together the wisdom and advantages of elite enterprises in the industry chain, and aims to develop a new generation of core equipment for the long-term planning of "National Gas and National Transport".

After preliminary multi-demonstration and review of technical design drawings, all parties unanimously agree on the research and development results of this ship type. After the meeting, China Classification Society and Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LR) presented AIP certificates to the shipowners and MARIC.

On December 18, the "LNG-powered ultra-large container ship" project ended. The project aims to develop a new generation of the largest 23000TEU dual-fuel container ship that meets the needs of shipowners, and to carry out dual-fuel transformation for the existing 13500TEU ship of shipowners.

MARIC has been deeply involved in the research and development of dual-fuel ultra-large container ships, and conducted target route analysis for 23000TEU and 13500TEU respectively.

Therefore, CCS, DNV GL and ABS have issued AIP certificates to ship owners and MARIC.
