On December 16, the 325,000 DWT VLOC ‘NANSHA HONOR’ built by Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Industry for China Ore Shipping was successfully signed and delivered.
The 325,000 DWT ore carrier is the largest tonnage ship ever built by the company, which marks another solid step towards the upsizing of the company's products and has great historical significance.
The ship is 340 meters long, 62 meters wide, has a designed draft of 21.4 meters, a deadweight of about 325,000 tons, a service speed of 14.6 knots and a range of 25,500 nautical miles. It is classified into China Classification Society (CCS).
The ship sailing area is unlimited, mainly for China-Brazil route, which meets the Suez Canal rules. The ship is currently the most economical and larger tonnage ore carrier on China-Brazil route in the world, and is the most competitive ship type on this route.
The ship is equipped with a scrubber, which can meet the requirement of the sulphur cap. LNG fuel reserve tank is set for future demand. The main engine, generator and oil-fired boiler can be transformed into dual-fuel type to further improve the competitiveness and fuel flexibility.
