CHI Dalian delivered the world's newest FPSO

On November 13, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) officially delivered the 10th FPSO MV30 for Japan MODEC (Singapore).

The MV30 project is a refit of the 300,000 dwt VLCC "Flan". It is 332 meters long, 58.04 meters wide, has a draft of 31 meters and a displacement of 306,000 tons. It was built by Daewoo Shipbuilding of South Korea in 2004. The vessel was fitted with a diverging SOFEC mooring and operated in a depth of up to 2,200 metres. It was eventually handed over to Petrobras.

As the world's newest FPSO, it integrates production processing, storage, unloading, personnel housing, and production command. The operating water depth is 2,200 meters, the daily processing crude oil is 28,600 cubic meters, the daily processing natural gas is 6 million cubic meters, and the daily processing production water is 24,000 cubic meters. The living area on board meets the technical standards of American Bureau of Shipping and Brazil NR, and can accommodate 160 people at the same time.

The project can operate continuously in offshore oil fields for 26 years without being put into dock for maintenance, which is a veritable "giant offshore oil processing plant".
Up to now, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) has delivered a total of 15 FPSO refit projects. The successful delivery of this project once again demonstrates COSCO's leading position and excellent strength in the field of FPSO.
