Following the previous three orders, AW Shipping, a joint venture of Wanhua ADNOC, ordered two additional 86000 m3 dual fuel VLGCs in Jiangnan Shipbuilding.
AW Shipping ordered three 86000 m3 dual fuel VLGC series ships in Jiangnan in July this year. It is reported that each ship costs about $73 million and is scheduled to be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of 2022.
The latest two ships will be delivered in January and March 2023. With these two ships, there are already five orders for the series.
The ship meets the new IGC code, NOx emission Tier III standard and SOX emission standard, with a total length of 230 m, hull width of 36.6 m, depth of 22.2 m, and design draft of 11.5 M. According to the plan, these VLGCs will be used for the cooperation project between Wanhua and ADNOC to provide transportation support.
The cooperation between Wanhua and Jiangnan Shipbuilding shows the cooperation of two outstanding Chinese enterprises which stand out in the fierce international competition.
