China Shipping bulletins on August 20,2020


1.Hudong-Zhonghua held on Wednesday a naming ceremony for the third Yamal LNG vessel owned by a joint venture consisting of compatriot Cosco Shipping and Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.

2.China Shipping Chemical Carrier, a unit of Cosco Shipping Group, has entered into a letter of intent with Chongqing Chuandong Shipyard for the construction of an 8,000 dwt chemical tanker.

3.CIMC has announced that its shareholders Cosco Shipping Development, Broad Ride Limited and Promotor Holdings have proposed to transfer part of their shareholdings in the company. 

4.Ocean Agencies has placed an order at China's New Dayang Shipbuilding for the construction of two 63,000 dwt ultramax bulk carriers.

5.China's crude oil output edged up 0.6 percent year-on-year to 16.46 million tons in July, slightly retreating from an increase of 0.7 percent registered in June, official data showed.

6.In Q2 2020, A.P. Moller - Maersk improved profitability across all businesses through agile capacity deployment, cost mitigation initiatives and adaption to changed customer needs.

7.Brookes Bell – the global technical and scientific consultancy – has hired a Fuel Services Technical Lead with more than 15 years of experience in environmental testing.
 
8.Iron ore prices continue to rise and are currently at their highest level since 2010 on the back of strong Chinese demand and restricted supply.
