Jiangnan signed a letter of intent to build a 4,000-cubic LPG vessel

Jiangnan Shipbuilding has signed a letter of intent with Japanese owner Kumiai Senpaku for the construction of a 40,000 cubic LPG vessel (MGC), according to the company's release.

This ship type is a new, independently developed MGC (PANDA R 40P), following Jiangnan PANDA R 83P/84P/86P series of VLGC brand.

This ship is equipped with three Type A independent liquid tanks, which can transport more petrochemical products. Its remarkable feature is that it is equipped with green LPG dual-fuel main engine, and the emission of Sox can be reduced to "zero".

With the application of energy saving technologies such as Jiangnan VS-BOW R and FAD R, the fuel/oil economy index of this vessel is at the international leading level. With Jiangnan intelligent ship system, this ship type can also optimize the route for the owner, improve the comprehensive energy efficiency and the integrated management efficiency of ship and shore.
