Jiangnan signed three more VLGC orders


CSSC's Jiangnan Shipbuilding recently signed a contract with AW SHIPPIING LIMITIED to build three 86,000 cubic metre VLGC vessels.

This type of ship is a LPG dual-fuel main engine independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding. And it will be further upgraded to meet the new IGC Code, Tier III emission standard and the latest SOx emission requirements, with energy-saving and environmental protection characteristics.

The ship has a total length of 230 meters, a width of 36.6 meters, a depth of 22.2 meters, and a design draft of 11.5 meters. The three VLGCs are scheduled to be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of 2022.

AW Shipping Limited is a JV jointly established by WANHUA and ADNOC to provide transport capacity guarantee for the cooperation projects between WANHUA and ADNOC.

This year, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has become a "bright spot" in the field of VLGC. Up to now, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has delivered six 84000 cubic meters VLGC this year, and another two will be delivered by the end of the year.
