China approved four more 400,000 ton iron ore terminals

China issued the notice on further improving the work of the 400,000 ton iron ore terminals.

The notice points out that Landbridge port ore berth can accommodate 400,000 tons of iron ore vessels without the need for separate approval procedures.

Before that, there were four ports in China (Dalian port, Tangshan port, Qingdao port and Ningbo Zhoushan port) with a total of seven berths capable of handling 400,000-ton ore ships.

In addition to Landbridge Port, there are four 400,000-ton berths approved, including Yantai West Port Phase I ore berth, Rizhao Steel Quality Base supporting ore berth and No.1 ore berth in Chengao Operation Area of Ningde Sandu Port Area.

According to Landbridge Group, the access of 400,000-ton ore ships at Landbridge Port is to meet the needs of large-scale ships and to save freight logistics costs, meet the requirements of resource-saving and environment-friendly port development, and is an important way to change the development mode of the port.
