CDB Leasing orders 8 210,000-ton bulk carriers

CDB Leasing recently placed orders at three state-owned shipyards for eight 210,000-ton bulk carriers, with a total value of approximately US $ 417.6 million.

On April 30, CDB Leasing issued an announcement that China Development Bank Financial Leasing has signed three construction contracts with Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, respectively.

BSIC will build two 210,000-ton bulk carriers at a price of approximately US $ 104.4 million. The first new ship will be delivered in December 2021, and the second ship will be delivered in March 2022.

COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) will construct three 210,000-ton bulk carriers at a price of approximately US $ 156.6 million. The new ships are scheduled to be delivered in February 2022, March 2022 and April 2022, respectively.

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding will build three 210,000-ton bulk carriers at a price of approximately US $ 156.6 million. The new ships are scheduled to be delivered in February 2022, March 2022 and April 2022, respectively.

Signing shipbuilding contracts with three shipyards is conducive to increasing the company's operating leasing business income, which is in line with the company's business development strategy.
