China Shipping bulletins on February 14,2020


1.On February 9, Liaoning Port Group Dalian Container Terminal (DCT) has the ability to provide electronic delivery of all domestic and foreign trade cargoes.

2.On February 12, ICBC Financial Leasing successfully delivered 325,000 tons of ore ship "ORE YANTAI" in Qingdao. It is the first ship of six 325,000-ton ore ship series built by Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry.

3.An additional 44 people on a cruise ship quarantined in Yokohama have tested positive for the novel coronavirus(COVID-19), bringing the total of on board infections to 218.

4.The Dutch registered container ship OOCL Rauma, operated by JR Ship Management based in Harlingen in northern Netherlands, has lost at least five containers on Tuesday.

5.The stranded Westerdam cruise ship has been granted a port of entry by authorities in Cambodia. This comes after 4 other ports turned away the ship over unfounded fears that coronavirus was present on board.

6.A liberian ship, GAS PRODIGY, has leaked propylene. Propylene is extremely flammable and there is a risk of combustion and explosion. 

7.Dry bulk shipowners have strongly resisted moving their vessels out of the Atlantic basin, leading to weak intra-Atlantic freight rates but firm long-haul prices.

8.China's composite import price index for liquefied natural gas (LNG) dropped last week, according to Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange (SHPGX).
