China Shipping bulletins on January 10,2020


1.2020,the OCEAN Alliance Day 4 is improving and optimizing global network based on 2019 Day 3 product, intends to deploy estimated total carrying capacity around 320 vessels with 3.76 million TEUs .

2.Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has held a naming ceremony for an LNG carrier, jointly ordered by MOL and China COSCO Shipping.

4.KVH Industries announced that BW Group has signed a new contract to continue KVH VSAT services for at least five years and is upgrading 102 vessels to utilize KVH’s mini-VSAT BroadbandSM HTS network for advanced satellite communications. 

5.Daily crude steel output across China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) key mills averaged 1.88 million mt in the last 11 days of December, down 57,100 mt, or 2.94% from the December 11-20 period, according to the latest data from CISA.

6.Yang Ming Marine continues to enhance its Intra-Asia service network by launching a new Taiwan–Japan service (JCH) effective from January 26th, 2020.
