China Shipping bulletins on December 30,2019


1.COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation approved to implement dual-fuel powered technology for one of the company's VLCCs under construction contracted by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry. 

2.China’s Ministry of Transport has announced that it has imposed fines on 12 container operators, including shipowners and NVOCCs, due to irregularities in rate pricing.

3.Imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) into China have rebounded in the month of November following the first blip in three years reported in October. 

4.The contracts signed between SBM Offshore and its Chinese partners on two more floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) hulls will further enhance their ties and thus help the company to expand its presence in China.
 
5.Container trade volume through the Port of Guangzhou increased 10.7 per cent year on year in the first 11 months of 2019 to 21.18 million TEU, according to the port authority.

6.Mr Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES, visited Dalian Maritime University and had a talk with Mr Zheng Shaonan, Party Secretary, Mr Sun Yuqing, President, and Mr Zhao Youtao, Vice President of the University.

7.Chinese imports of Saudi Arabian oil have soared in the first 11 months of this year, pushed up by several massive joint refinery projects. The latest figures have solidified the Middle Eastern country’s position as China’s top oil supplier.

8.Asian spot prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG) slipped last week amid thin trading due to Christmas holidays.
