The one-year program is planned to benefit more than 2,100 children.

Future

As a major donor of COSCO SHIPPING Charity Foundation, COCSO SHIPPING invested in the Port of Piraeus project at the beginning of 2009. After 10 years of unremitting efforts, Piraeus has become the flagship project of jointly constructing the Belt and Road and effectively boosted economic recovery and social development in Greece. During the construction of the port, COSCO SHIPPING has been emphasizing the fulfillment of its corporate social responsibilities and taking an active part in local charitable activities. In 2018, through the Foundation, COSCO SHIPPING offered financial aid to the Hellenic Olympic Committee to support the participation of Greek disabled athletes in the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics. This program, which once again integrates the public welfare undertakings of COSCO SHIPPING at Piraeus with local society, will play an active role in facilitating the friendly people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

On November 19, a delegation led by Mr. Fu Xiaoli, Deputy Secretary General of COSCO SHIPPING Charity Foundation, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Hellenic Red Cross and met with its President Mr. Antonios Avgerinos. They signed the program donation agreement and exchanged viewed on matters concerning program implementation.

The successful cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING Charity Foundation and the Hellenic Red Cross has obtained strong support from PPA S.A. and the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF). Executives from PPA S.A. also attended the activity.
