China Shipping bulletins on November 4,2019


1.Chinese wind power player China Suntien Green Energy is venturing into liquefied natural gas with plans to set up an LNG import facility in north China by the end of 2022. 

2.On the afternoon of November 1, 2019, a delegation led by H. E. Mr. Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry visited COSCO SHIPPING.

3.China’s Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with South Korea’s Dongbang Transport Logistics for bids on large-scale projects. 

4.Bankrupt shipyard Zhejiang Shipbuilding is looking to sell 11 unfinished OSVs en bloc through an online auction scheduled on November 20.

5.Navibulgar, Bulgaria’s largest shipping company, has placed newbuilding orders at China’s Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of up to six 31,800 dwt great lake bulk carriers.

6.Fujian Yonghang Shipping has placed an order at Fujian Lixin Shipyard for the construction of a 22,500 dwt handy bulker.

7.Growth in Chinese imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is set to slow sharply this year reflecting a slowing economy and record high coal imports, according to analysts. 

8.In the week ending Nov-1, Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) issued by Ningbo Shipping Exchange (NBSE) quotes 742.8 points.
