China Shipping bulletins on October 18,2019

1.China has launched a new price index for liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports to better reflect changes in the market. 

2.On October 18th, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding officially started construction of the first domestic large-scale cruise ship, which has achieved another milestone in the history of China’s shipbuilding industry.

3.International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference 2019 was held in Zhoushan from 17 October to 19 October.

4.Capt.Xu Lirong,Chairman of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation,has acquired Lifetime Achievement Award at Lloyd’s List Asia Pacific Awards 2019.

5.Shandong Port Group and Shanghai PanAsia Shipping successfully held the Container Sea Bus Around Bohai Sea Sailing Ceremony & Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony.

6.The opening ceremony of Jiangsu Yangzi Sanjing Shipbuilding,a joint venture shipyard jointly established by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and Japan's Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding,was successfully held.

7.On the morning of October 16th, 2019, a delegation led by Mr. Chris Wiernicki, Chairman of American Bureau of Shipping visited COSCO SHIPPING headquarters in Shanghai. 

8.Tangshan, China's top steelmaking city, took more drastic pollution control measures after mid-to-heavily polluting days were forecast over October 18-22, on top of a second-level smog alert starting 20:00 pm on October 15.
