OOCL cancels Asia-Europe sailings due to low demand


Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), now a Cosco unit, has announced Asia-Europe sailing cancellations over the next few months.
 
In a statement, the shipping said that "in response to the expected low demand in the market", it was withdrawing some of its Asia-Europe sailings.
 
Asia-North Europe Service: Loop 1: Westbound: ETA Shanghai on August 4 in Week 31 and Eastbound: ETA Felixstowe on September 4 in Week 36.
 
Loop 4: Westbound: ETA Xingang on July 11 in Week 28 and Eastbound: ETA Southampton on August 18 in Week 33.
 
Loop 5: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on August 4 in Week 31 and Eastbound: ETA Rotterdam on September 9 in Week 37.
 
Loop 7: Westbound: ETA Ningbo on August 4 in Week 31 and Eastbound: ETA Antwerp on September 6 in Week 36.
 
IP2: Eastbound: ETA Rotterdam on August 19 in Week 34 and Westbound: ETA Jebel Ali on September 15 in Week 37.
 
Asia-West Mediterranean Service: WM3: Westbound: ETA Hamad on July 31 in Week 31 and Eastbound: ETA Valencia on August 29 in Week 35.
 
Asia-East Mediterranean and Black Sea Service; EM1: Westbound: ETA Pusan on July 21 in Week 29 and Eastbound: ETA Istanbul on August 23 in Week 34.
 
EM2: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on August 15 in Week 33 and Eastbound: ETA Ashdod on September 10 in Week 37.
 
EM2: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on October 17 in Week 42 and Eastbound: ETA Ashdod on November 12 in Week 46.
