On a sparkling night at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kowloon, managing director of Hong Kong’s Fleet Management, Kishore Rajvanshy scooped the Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s Seatrade Maritime Awards.
Other significant Hong Kong winners revealed before a full house of the territory’s most prominent maritime leaders included Ince & Co partner, Rosita Lau, who took home the Integration of Women in the Maritime Sector Award. The current chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and managing director of Oak Maritime, Jack Hsu was proffered the Personality of the Year Award.
Handing the coveted Award to Mr Rajvanshy, managing director of the Liberian Registry, Gerry Buchannan, declared: Mr. Rajvanshy has had a remarkable career to date encompassing many vital maritime disciplines from mechanical engineering to technical directorship across several leading maritime organisations.”
Andrew Williams, president – Maritime, Informa Markets remarked: “Tonight we recognised his achievements which are currently shining through his tenure as founding managing director of the regionally-impactful Fleet Management Ltd. It’s been a pleasure to shine the Seatrade spotlight on Mr, Rajvanshy’s career to date.”
Christopher Chan, partner at HFW was on hand to receive the Maritime Law Award on behalf of the Hong Kong-based law firm.
This was the occasion of Mr Rajvanshy’s second lifetime award from Seatrade Maritime’s parent company Informa. In 2017 he won the Lloyds List Lifetime Achievement Award.
