China Shipping bulletins on November 14,2018


1.Taiwanese container carrier Wan Hai Lines confirmed an order of 20 container vessels with Japan Marine United Corporation(JMU) and Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS) and China Shipbuilding Trading Company(CSTC).
 
2.Development and construction of China's first deep-water exploration well in the South China Sea,the Lingshui 17-2 gas field,kicked off on Monday in an effort to ensure the country's energy security and gas field construction in the region,China's largest producer of offshore oil and gas said on Monday.
 
3.China and Myanmar are moving ahead with a China-backed deep-sea port project in Kyauk Phyu Special Economic Zone(SEZ),250 miles northwest of Yangon.
 
4.Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL),now a Cosco unit,has announced Trans-Atlantic cancellations over the Christmas and New Year period.
 
5.The Mahu field in Northwest China's Xinjiang autonomous region, one of China National Petroleum Corporation's largest finds in recent years, witnesses daily oil production of more than 405.6 cubic meters and daily gas production of 36,000 cubic meters, the company said on Monday.
 
6.Novatek delivers first LNG cargo to CNOOC.And the cargo was delivered to Fujian LNG Terminal in China via NSR by an Arc7 ice-class LNG carrier in 20 days,completing the NSR part of the journey in 7.5 days.
 
7.China National Offshore Oil Corporation said on Tuesday that the company will supply 24.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the heating season that kicks off this week,up 20 % year-on-year,to meet rising demand in the country.
 
8.China's iron ore futures finished lower on Tuesday.The most active contract for January 2019 delivery ended the day session down 1.73 percent at 511 yuan per ton.
