2018 International Ship Management and Technology Forum

    It is with great pleasure to invite you to attend the 2018 International Ship Management and Technology Forum to be held on Oct 25, 2018 in Dalian, China. 

    The Forum provides a very valuable opportunity for practitioners, professionals and researchers from the industry, academia and government to discourse on development, research and professional practice in ship management and technology.

    The shipping industry is facing various challenges--- the requirements of the IMO's new regulations on 2020sulphur cap, the ECAs in China being further expanded, the ballast water treatment of ships being up to standard, LNG used as an alternative marine fuel by more ships, the high development of ship intelligent informatization, the network risks faced by shipping internet--- such new rules, new technologies, and new trends are not only unprecedented challenges for ship managers, but also an important opportunity for shipping people to open a new chapter to adapt a new trend, master the technology and follow the rules.

    2018 International Ship Management and Technology Forum is co-hosted by China Ship owners Association (CSA), China Institute of Navigation, Dalian Maritime University (DMU) and China Maritime Service Center, and organized by Xinde Marine News and China Shipping Service (CNSS), supported by BIMCO.

    The guests from the International Maritime Organization and industry associations, government departments and maritime authorities, flag states, classification societies, well-known shipping enterprises and ship management companies at home and abroad, maritime insurance institutions, equipment manufacturers and service providers will attend and address at the forum as keynote speakers with the theme of “New Rules, New Technologies and New Challenges for shipping industry”.
