OOCL makes changes on M East and transpacific trade service


Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line's (OOCL) has announced coming changes in its transpacific and Middle East services to "improve schedule reliability and expand market coverage".
 
Thus, the Pacific China North 1 (PCN1) service will omit a Dalian call effective from HCP CSCL Spring. The new port rotation will be Tianjin, Qingdao, Price Rupert, Long Beach, Oakland and back to Tianjin.
 
The Pacific Vietnam China South (PVCS) service will omit a Shenzhen-Shekou call effective from OOCL Beijing (OBJ) 062W/063E (ETA Long Beach, August 7 and ETA Shenzhen-Shekou, September 2. The new port rotation will be Cai Mep, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian, Kaoshiung, Long Beach, Kaoshiung and back to Cai Mep.
 
The Pacific North West 2 (PNW2) service will expand market coverage effective from early/mid-September by linking to the Middle East 1 (ME1) service. This will involve new Middle East and Singapore direct calls for the eastbound leg through Tianjin, Busan, Qingdao, Singapore and Middle East calls for westbound leg.
 
Thus, the new port rotation will be Sohar, Jebel Ali, Hamad, Dammam, Jubail, Singapore, Shenzhen-Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Seattle, Vancouver, Tianjin, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Sohar, Jebel Ali, Hamad, Dammam and Jubail.
