Tigers has been awarded ‘Best Logistics Supplier’ at Avaya’s Annual Suppliers Meeting in Singapore.
The Hong-Kong headquartered supply chain specialist, which is launching its eShop across all of its offices worldwide in 2018, was awarded the accolade for assisting Avaya with its freight forwarding transition.
Tigers previously won ‘Best Logistics Supplier’ in 2013, having successfully relocated Avaya’s APAC operation from Singapore to South China, handling Avaya’s Asia-Pacific fulfilment and distribution through its Yantian District integrated Free Trade Zone warehouse.
“We began our relationship with Avaya by providing 3PL warehousing and bonded brokerage services in the FTZ, as well as strategic controlled licenses in Hong Kong,” said, Laura Crow, managing director, China, Tigers.
“In order to meet Avaya’s needs, we expanded our services to local trucking within China, a global consolidation hub, regional lock services, pre-delivery inspection, as well as cross-dock services and acting as an Importer of Record.
“It is an honour to win this award again and showcase our capabilities in innovation.”
Tigers supports customers across a wide range of industries, including automotive, fashion, outdoor, and active lifestyle, health, technology, and wine and perishables.
“Tigers has solidified itself as a key partner for Avaya and its knowledge of China and Hong Kong Customs has allowed us to navigate multiple policy changes with minimum interruption to our business,” said Lance Casler, director of Global Logistics, Avaya.
“The team stepped up again to assist us with a major freight forwarder transition in 2017. Their support significantly mitigated the impact of this transition to Avaya, it’s suppliers and customers.”
“Tigers has overcome the challenge of stringent Japan cosmetics requirements by providing additional processes and this has allowed Avaya to eliminate freight costs and stranded inventory, which resulted when the screening was done in Japan. The transition was seamless and resulted in immediate savings and improved controls.”
Tigers operates 16 offices in China including Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Pingxiang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Xiamen, and Xi’an.
