Major Hong Kong-based port operator, Cosco Shipping Ports (CSP), has entered into a subscription agreement with Navis for its N4 terminal operating system (TOS) to support its operations across 269 berths at 38 ports worldwide, of which 179 are for containers, with a combined annual handling capacity of approximately 103 million TEU.
CSP recorded a 15 per cent year-over-year increase for its monthly container volumes in January, reaching a total of more than 7.8 million TEU for the month, according to UK's Port Technology.
Vice chairman and managing director of Cosco Shipping Ports, Zhang Wei, said: "2017 marked a successful year for our globalisation and increasing control in port companies.
