World's largest LNG ship completed its first bunkering operation

On November 6, "Gas Agility", the world's largest and most advanced 18,600 m3 LNG bunkering ship built by Hudong Zhonghua for Total, completed its first LNG bunkering operation in Rotterdam Port.

On the same day, "Gas Agility" provided LNG bunkering for "CMA CGM Tenere", a container ship arriving at Rotterdam.

"Gas Agility" is owned by Emerald Green Maritime Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MOL, and is long-term chartered by Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions (TMFGS), a unit of Total.

"Gas Agility" is the first 18,600 m3 LNG bunkering ship developed by Hudong Zhonghua, with a total length of 135.9 meters, a width of 24.5 meters, a design speed of 12 knots, and a GTT MARK Ⅲ FLEX cargo containment system. It reaches 18,600 cubic meters, and the evaporation rate is as low as 0.18%/day.

Compared with foreign products, this type of ship is the world's largest and most advanced bunkering ship. Meanwhile, the tank of this type of ship is the first time to realize the design and construction of Mark III tank in China.

"Gas Agility" is the first of two 18,600m3 LNG bunkering ships built by Hudong Zhonghua for MOL and Total, which were ordered in February 2018.

After the delivery of Hudong Zhonghua’s first ship "CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE", Jiangnan Shipbuilding also delivered the second "CMA CGM CHAMPS ELYSEES" in October this year. The ship was put into operation on the Asia-Europe route from October 28th.
