World's largest LNG bunkering vessel completes gas trial

On April 8, the world's largest and most advanced 18600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel built by Hudong Zhonghua, a subsidiary of CSSC, completed the gas trial.

The LNG bunkering vessel has a length of 135 meters and uses the Mark III FLEX type membrane containment system of GTT. It is the world's first LNG bunkering vessel applying the membrane type Mark III FLEX type enclosure system.

After delivery, the ship will dock at the port of marseilles-fors, France, to provide specialized LNG fuel system services for the world's largest 23000TEU LNG powered container ship, as well as bunkering for other types of dual-fuel powered cargo ships.

The ship will use LNG as propulsion fuel and re-liquefy the volatilized gas.

This world's most advanced bunkering ship has three major characteristics: First, it has strong bunkering operations. The second is the wide coverage of professional services. The third is excellent maneuverability.

The gas trial of LNG bunkering ship can be successfully completed, which is greatly supported and assisted by Shenergy Group.

At present, Hudong Zhonghua is building two 18600 cubic meters of LNG bunkering vessels.

There are currently more than 200 LNG dual-fuel ships under construction in the world. With the implementation of Global Sulphur Cap 2020, the demand for LNG fuel ships will also increase, and the market prospects for LNG fueling ships are promising.
