Successful shift change for the crew of "Pacific Auspice" of CMES in Dalian Port

19 April 2020 - the CMES vessel "Pacific Auspice" drifting at sea for 65 days eventually had a homecoming to the country with a smooth shift change in Dalian Port. This was also the first time when the crew had successfully changed shift in Dalian Port during the epidemic outbreak.

Before disembarking, the crew had all received coronavirus nucleic acid tests. After they got off from the ship, they were transferred to the designated isolation site by transportation service for quarantine and medical observation. The crew who showed normal physical state with qualified certificates and released from quarantine, has successfully taken their shift on board. After the shift change, "Pacific Auspice" has departed on 21 April.

Because of the epidemic, shift change of crew has become a headache for the industry. The success of the "Pacific Auspice" is the result of the concerted efforts by various parties. Under the premise of firm epidemic control measures and safe operation, the CMES Tanker Fleet has now completed 32 shifts, with a total of 48 people on board and 74 people off; 10 shifts for the bulk cargo fleet, with a total of 47 people on board and 29 people off.

The domestic epidemic situation is currently plateauing while the overseas ones still suffer from ongoing spread. CMES is striving its best to prevent and control the epidemic situation and resume work and production. While ensuring the ship-shore safe production, it spares no effort to solve the practical problems of crew shifts.
