Chairman Xie Chunlin visits Dalian Maritime University

Mr Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES, visited Dalian Maritime University and had a talk with Mr Zheng Shaonan, Party Secretary, Mr Sun Yuqing, President, and Mr Zhao Youtao, Vice President of the University.

 

Mr Xie gave a brief introduction on the development of CMES and its outstanding achievements in the industry. He mentioned the long-term history of the cooperation between CMES and Dalian Maritime University in terms of talent cultivation and technological innovation. The two institutions are respective epitomes in China’s energy transportation and maritime education, sharing common responsibilities and goals in the maritime domain. Mr Xie hoped that both of them will continue to strengthen their business-school partnership which contributes to the strategic development of China’s transportation power and cultivates high-quality shipping personnel with a global vision.

 

Mr Zheng, on behalf of Dalian Maritime University, extended a warm welcome to Mr Xie and his delegation, and briefly described the development and progress of the University in recent years. He pointed out that both institutions jointly shoulder multiple missions which consist of elaborating China’s transportation power and maritime power, sustaining the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and promoting socio-economic development. He looked forward to achieving a win-win situation and attaining more exceptional accomplishments during the cooperation with CMES in the future.

 

During the talk, both of them also conducted a thorough exchange on personnel training, high-end training, and technological innovation, as they agreed on the initial intention to collaborate.
