China Shipping bulletins on November 1,2019


1.China will take more steps to standardize marine equipment manufacturing, improve the quality and competitiveness and encourage overseas participation, experts and officials said.

2.Guangzhou Nansha Free Trade Zone Ship Registration Innovation and Convenience Flag Ship Returning Ceremony was held in Nansha, Guangzhou on 30 October. 

3.On October 29, 2019, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and COSCO SHIPPING was held in Shanghai. 

4.Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine has approved a plan to order two 82,300 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers at Tsuneishi Zhoushan shipyard.

5.China's base oil imports rose in September to a three-month high amid a pick-up in shipments from South Korea, Taiwan and Qatar.

6.China produced 748 million mt of crude steel in January to September, 8.36% higher from the same period last year, said China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) executive vice-chairman He Wenbo at a press conference on October 29.
