China Shipping bulletins on September 4,2019


1.China Sinochem Group announced Yang Hua was appointed director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party group of China sinochem group co., LTD.

2.Singapore’s first LNG-poweredBunker Tanker Christened by MPA Chief Executive at a launch ceremony held in Nantong, China at Keppel Nantong Shipyard.

5.CIMC Raffles has fixed two jackup newbuilds under construction at the yard to Mexican oil company Pemex under long-term contracts.

6.Iron ore futures in China rose to a 3-1/2-week high on September 4, fuelled by hopes of stable demand as anti-pollution curbs in top steelmaking cities ahead of the National Day holiday were more lenient than expected. 

7.Tangshan Port Group Co., Ltd saw a strong rise of 12.67% year on year in net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half year, the company said in a semi-annual report late August 30. 

8.The Hong Kong office of global law firm Clyde & Co have appointed Fei Kwok as head of banking and finance for Greater China in order to capture Belt and Road and Greater Bay Area opportunities.
