China Shipping bulletins on June 27,2019


1.Beijing is expected to approve a long-awaited tax rebate for the export of low-sulphur fuel oils later this year. The move will allow Zhoushan to provide this type of marine fuel at a price that is no more expensive than Singapore.
 
2.On June 25,Berge Mafadi, was delivered from the GSI Shipyard in Guangzhou.With a‘Rightship A+’rating and an Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) 20% below the baseline, the 327-meter-long ship ranks amongst the most energy-efficient bulk carriers in the world, according to Berge Bulk.
 
3.Rizhao-based Landbridge Group, a diversified multinational group specialising in port infrastructure, logistics, oil and gas, shipping and petrochemical industries, is looking to list one of its port assets.

5.Hong Kong-based container terminal operator Hutchison Port Holdings Trust has announced that its chief executive officer Gerry Yim Lui Fai will retire from his position from July 13.The company has appointed Lam Hing Man, the current managing director of Yantian International Container Terminals, as the new CEO.
 
6.Zhonggu Logistics looks likes its ready to venture overseas. Parent Zhonggu Xinliang is a private company set up in its current form in 2003. It was previously a subsidiary of China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO), one of China’s state-owned food processing holding companies.
 
7.Dalian iron ore prices fell for a third straight session on Wednesday as concerns about tight supply eased, while steel futures extended a rally partly driven by production cuts imposed in some of China’s heavily polluted industrial areas.
 
8.Taicang port in Jiangsu province is capable of handling two million more containers each year after the construction of the fourth phase of its container terminal, local media reported on June 24.
