1.Telecommunications equipment firm Huawei and telecommunications company China Unicom have unveiled a 5G product that offers smart ports a totally-connected wireless network.The 5G Edge-Cloud Smart Port Solution is, Huawei said, already being used at many big ports in Chinese pilot cities.And it predicted that “smart ports will definitely be a promising vertical market” with “the 5G era” coming up.
 
2.China National Petroleum Corporation has received its first deepwater equity output, Mero crude, from the Mero Field in offshore Brazil at Dalian port, the company said in a statement Thursday. 
 
3.About 28 million cubic metres of pipeline gas for delivery at the end of May was sold to 56 city gas distributors of city gas during the start of trading on May 11 on the Chongqing Oil and Gas Exchange, according to an exchange statement and an official from the exchange.
 
4.Intellian, the world’s leading provider of satellite communication antenna systems, announced that it has established a Chinese corporation subsidiary in Shanghai and officially started operations there.And Eric Sung, CEO of Intellian, said, “China is a core region of the maritime industry and a market with great potential. 5.Following the announcement that China Cruise Shipping will be held Nov. 1 to Nov. 3 in Shenzhen, a number of key cruise industry associations in China and abroad have signed on to support the event, according to a statement from the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association. 
 
6.China's Tosoh (Guangzhou) Chemical Industries is not able to restart its 220,000 mt/year PVC plant in Guangzhou after completing regular maintenance end-April, due to a plant licensing issue, sources close to the company said Thursday.And the plant was shut in April for annual maintenance.

8.An extra-large bridge in Kunshan City of east China's Jiangsu Province was raised by 1.87 meters to make way for more boats on Friday. The 510-meter-long Wusongjiang Bridge spans an important local water channel. As the channel became a major shipping lane, it is necessary to raise the bridge to a higher level to enable the passage of larger ships.
