President of CMES arrives in Dubai for Business Activities


On 12-15 November 2019, at the invitation of BAHRI OIL, the National Tanker Transportation Company of Saudi Arabia, Mr Wang Yongxin, President of CMES, headed for Dubai to attend the BAHRI OIL annual general meeting and participated in a series of business activities.
 
On 12th, Mr Wang Yongxin visited SHELL Middle East. He briefly described the history and current development of China Merchants and CMES. He highlighted the development of Associated Maritime Company (Hong Kong) Limited (AMCL)’s VLCC fleet and China Merchants Nanjing Tanker (NJTC)’s fleet, as he expressed his willingness to elaborate the mode of business cooperation with SHELL. Mr Stavros Kokkinis, General Manager of SHELL Global Chartering and Projects, introduced SHELL’s global transportation business and some special project needs, expressing his willingness to enhance cooperation. They also had discussions on the upcoming development of LNG fuel and the construction and economy of the global refuelling port facilities.
 
On 13th, Mr Wang Yongxin went to Abu Dhabi to visit ADNOC LOGISTICS. During the meeting, Mr Wang highlighted the development history of China Merchants and CMES. After expressing gratitude to ADNOC for its unreserved support to China Merchants Shipping, he hoped that both parties will promote new breakthroughs in the transportation business units. Mr Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Business Development Vice President of ADNOC LOGSTICS, extended a warm welcome to Mr Wang and his delegation. He highly appreciated the development of CMES, and gained new insights into the principles of Chinese Enterprises, with reference to the multiple years of experience in collaboration between ADNOC and Chinese oil companies.
 
On 14th, a business meeting with IDEMITSU took place. Mr Wang Yongxin sent his gratitude to IDEMITSU for its business support for all CMES units and described CMES’ latest developments in various business. Mr Tadashi Terauchi, President of IDEMITSU TANKER, outlined the main business of IDEMITSU TANKER and showed his appreciation for the excellent ship management and service quality of CMES. At the meeting, they both expressed their intention to further reinforce relevant business cooperation.
 
On 14th, Mr Wang Yongxin visited China Oil Middle East Co., Ltd. He illustrated to China Oil the general strategic cooperation between China Merchants and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), while he highlighted the collaboration between CMES’ oil and gas units and China Oil. He was especially grateful to China Oil for their unreserved support on CMES’ business for years. He hoped for an elaboration of the development of natural gas projects, on the basis of reinforced cooperation in crude oil and refined oil business, to support the development of CNPC’s trade. Mr Wang Xinqiang, Chief Representative of China Oil Middle East, warmly welcomed the China Merchants Shipping for their visit. He pinpointed CNPC’s future development of oil and gas, chemicals and low-sulfur oil in the Middle East, and summarized their collaboration progress in oil and gas transportation in the Middle East this year. He also thanked CMES for its trade support to China Oil Middle East.
